Jason Smidt- Chef, Parry Sound Adventure
Jason Smidt is a self-taught Chef, born and raised in South Africa. He has spent the last 11 years working in Toronto and in the South of France. In the previous 10 years, he worked and traveled in Israel, England, South Africa and throughout the U.S. Jason has been inspired in each new location by his curiosity and love of food and wine. He enjoyed a three year stint with Radisson’s Cruise Liners, ultimately rising to the position of Maitre d’ hotel on the “Seven Seas Voyager” (a 6-star rated cruise liner), where he designed many of the dinner menus. Jason was part of “Avenance”, one of London’s foremost corporate catering companies. He has worked as a private chef in Toronto, France, the Bahamas and the U.S. Jason is now based in Toronto working as an executive chef and wellness consultant at Medcan Foundation.
